1957 p. 25: "Splendid! Huge 7" frilled deep pink blossoms. Spines short, blunt."

1958 p. 31: "A fine variety introduced by us several years ago and familiar now to many of our customers. The plants become stout and large, deep green in color, practically spineless. They flower incredibly freely the blossoms 8" long and of a lovely pink shade. They are very hardy taking temperatures of 15° above. Give them a rich loam soil and if potted shift them into larger pots as necessary. Full sunlight, moderate to generous watering." (includes photo)
